The Case of the Missing Hearing Aid
Missing: One of my Mom's brand new VERY EXPENSIVE hearing aids.(quarter included in picture to show size of missing item)
Prime Suspect: Pumpkin aka The Klepto Kitty.
Reason for Suspicion: Has a habit of jumping on the kitchen table to investigate what's on it. See previous posts regarding breakfast inspections here and here. Witnesses have seen suspect TAKE things to play with.
Suspect just looks innocent when questioned.
UPDATE! After a thorough search of the house, the hearing aid was found were some of the kitties thought it would be -- under the refrigerator. I had to lie on the floor and look with a flashlight to see it waaaay in the back. Pumpkin must have whacked it hard when he was playing hockey with it!

Oh Pumpkin we hope you find it soon. Otherwise Mom won't hear when you call her to give you food!
Oh no! I like to knock things off tables, too, like earrings or money or... anything! But that's not good that the hearing aid losed! Maybe when Pumpkin is done with it it'll come back.
Not that PUmpkin had anything to do with it.
Pumpkin, we're sure you're completely innocent of any wrongdoing! Anyway, anything left laying on a table top is fair game. It is YOUR house after all and you need to check on everything.

For the person who asked, the brand name on the hearing aid is Starkey and Mom has only had it since August.
Yep, anything left out is fair game for anycat to find and play with. We need to do a more thorough search of the house to see if we can find it.

Oh no! Our Dad has one of them hearing things too. We don't know where he puts them tho. It's too bad acoz efun with the heary fing Mom says he can't hear us talk. She has to translate for us and boy is that funny!

Momma wuz poking under the cold box and stove with a long stick but din't find it. She fownd paper balls, toofpiks, and lotz of fur balls but not the heary fing. Honest, I thot it wuz left on the table fur me to play wiff! But I don't amember where it went. We am going hunting again tonite to look fur it.
No tellin' where it is with a cat playing. Goodness we can hide things real good when we want to. Mom gets mad when we get on the table but we mostly do it at night when she is sleeping. Maybe you should fess up Pumpkin. Sounds like it's something important. Sure hope you find it.

You guys might want to leave that alone. It sounds very expensive, and besides, Mommy might not hear your meows for treats is you make off with it!
Hi Pumpkin you look like me only alot younger. My sisfur Lilly is a clepto kitten she like to make "nest" wiff thing socks ect we glad your mama found her hearing aid.
Our Dad is so glad you found your heary thing. He lost his a few years ago in the garden and he culdn't blame us that time. Hee hee.
